Archive Section Dance

The Archive Section Dance presents historical and contemporary Romani contributions to international developments in dance as an art form. It is dedicated to the history, styles, techniques, and socio-cultural significance of dance, as well as questions of authenticity, globalisation and commercialisation. Dance festivals, historical documents, photographs and films play a central role in the collection, alongside interviews with contemporary dancers, choreographers and theoreticians and source material such as programmes and flyers.
